A Message From Our Pastor

Elder Brannan Hooven and Sister Tammy Hooven

Welcome to our website. We are thankful for the opportunity to introduce to you the Primitive Baptist faith. The word “Primitive” means original or first of its kind. In contrast to modern day religion, we believe in setting forth the simple profound truth of our Lord Jesus Christ patterned by New Testament principles. When we gather for worship all ages are encouraged to be present as part of our congregational worship service. Free of programs, auxiliaries, and clutter, you will find a simplistic style of worship consisting of congregational singing (acapella), prayer and preaching.  If the love of God has given evidence in your heart by making his presence known unto you through the Holy Spirit, then the established church of the Lord Jesus Christ is here for your spiritual and emotional nurture.

At Liberty Hill we seek to serve the Lord while fostering a warm and loving fellowship with all who earnestly desire to worship the Lord Jesus in spirit and in truth. The child of grace when beholding the beauty of the church in adoration of Christ our Lord will find rest for the soul. The noise and threats this world continuously makes are silenced by the proclamation of the sovereign grace of God. Jesus’ first sermon was one reciting a prophetic passage concerning his earthly ministry.  Luke 4:18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. If you identify with any or all of these spiritual, emotional, or physical conditions then consolation of rest for soul, body, and spirit are here for you at Liberty Hill.

With anticipation and hope my family and I welcome you to come experience the Christ-centered and grace-motivated worship that lifts our burdens and gives us the fullness of joy in the church of the living God. Until that privileged meeting avails itself, may God continue to stir your hearts and pure minds by way of remembrance of him.

In hope and love,

Elder Branan Hooven
